I got the honeymoon cystitis during my Hawaii vacation trip

Her excessive sexual activity and vaginal abrasion has led to vaginal discharge and vaginal and bladder infections.

Case #: 41235

Concern:

My fiancé and I have a great deal of lovemaking on our vacation trip to Hawaii. The romantic beach and meals made my fiancé really horny and we made out at least 2 or 3 times in a day. Since we had such frequent sex in the beginning, I haven't been the same since. Various consequences happened from this honeymoon cystitis. First, I had a UTI for 2 weeks, then bad vaginal foul odor and milky white discharge starting coming out after that. My gynecologist found nothing with her cystoscopy, but believed a rare bladder infection happened, so I was put on the vibramycine for few weeks. Right now, I am experiencing overactive bladder problems along with low sex drive, vulva-urethra pains and twinges. No way out of it.

Discussion:

There are two parts to your problems. As you have indicated clearly that the problem originated due to excessive sexual activity and vaginal abrasion that resulted in weaker immune defense and higher risk for vaginal infection. Excessive sexual activity leads to overproduction of androgen hormones and prostaglandin E-2, causing adrenal and sex organ fatigue. As you might not aware that, prostaglandin E-2 is known to inhibit T-lymphocytes thus weaken your immune defense against bacteria and virus. There is a possibility that you and your finance were making love in a hotel that didn’t have a proper sanitary practice. Also the jet lag and fatigue from traveling are minor factors that would affect your immune system too. [1][2]

Is Your Hotel Making You Sick?

Some motels or hotels might disregard the good hygiene practices due to cost cutting or hired bad housekeeping staffs. It can happen to 5-star luxury hotels too. Do a search on Youtube, you will see many footages to show you how to avoid some of them. One of the video shown that housekeeper didn't have enough time to clean, so cut the corner by washing the drinking glasses with water in the bathroom sink. Tip of the day: don't sleep nude in the hotel bed.

The hormone prostaglandin E-2, which serves an important function in sexual arousal, is also overproduced and has an inflammatory effect on the body, damaging tissues, nerves and joints, weakening immunity, causing muscular and nervous pain, and promoting infection, and inflammation.

Keep in mind that antibiotics kill the good bacteria in your body, weakening your immunity and making you more susceptible to future infection.

In order to reverse the ill-effects of excessive sexual activity, stop sexual activity for a few weeks. Let your body rest and recover itself by taking herbs that can boost your immune system, reduce prostaglandin E2, and other essential hormones, until your prolactin, prostaglandin, and cortisol levels are returned to their normal ranges.

Homeopathic and natural ingredients from Femme Recovery & Immune Enhancement Formula can help strengthen your immune system and effective combat the rare bacteria and virus in your body. Homeopathic ingredients such as Apis Mellifica, Berberis Vulgaris, and Zingiber are anti-inflammatory agent that can help overactive bladder and ease the burning pain while urinating. Echinacea Angustifolia and Thuja Occidentalis have anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties that help you to fight with bladder and urinary tract infection.

Most homeopathic and nature herbs do not interact with prescription drugs and safe to take them with 30 minutes apart.

As for your vaginal discharge, supplement with lactobacillus cultures, a type of good bacteria that's common in your vagina. Or try Calendula and vitamin A vaginal suppositories are soothing and healing.
